Application

 

Mentor Criteria for Participation

​​

   Have a high school cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Have completed at least 1 year of high school

  • Are a positive role model in your family, high school, and community.

  • Have a special skill, talent, or interest you would like to teach younger kids in your community.

  • Want to become a teachero mentor to a younger child (ages 5-14) and encourage positive behaviors and college readiness.

  • Ensure a safe, age-appropriate, productive interaction with the younger Teachero Prep

  • Have parental consent to be a teachero mentor and receive payment and/or volunteer credits for time well spent with a teachero prep.

 

               (Both Parents/Guardians are required to meet and exchange/confirm contact information at the first                                       Teachero session and ensure a safe and supportive connection with the kids.)

Mentor Application Process 

​

(Requires High School Work Permit)

 

     1.   Download the Teachero App from the App Store onto your device

​

     2.   Sign up on the Teachero App as a Mentor and Complete the Profile page.

 

     3.   Create a Gusto account from the email invite link sent from Gusto Inc after your Teachero App Profile is                           completed and reviewed by Teachero Staff.

​

     4.   Complete requested employment documents on your Gusto Account for employment with Cloud Learning                 Solutions, Inc. 

           These include:  W - 4 Form

                                        Direct Deposit Form  (Found on Gusto/You'll need a bank account)

                                         I - 9 Form

                                        

      5.    Complete Work Permit Application Form through Docusign after Teachero review accepted.                                              (Parent/Guardian and School signature required.) 

 

      6.    Attend a Zoom Meeting to verify identity and discuss Teachero Mentor responsibilities. 

             (Present correct form of identification for identity and work verification at zoom meeting. Parents are                                   encouraged to attend. ( Info on completing form I-9. )

 

      7.    Go LIVE on the Teachero App for Teachero Parent and Prep viewing, messaging, and scheduling skills                               sharing sessions with a Prep.
